Personal injury lawyer marketing: how a smaller firm gets chosen
By Alfredo Ferras,
Personal injury is one of the most competitive markets in advertising. A smaller firm will not win it with a bigger budget. It can win it by being the lawyer a frightened person feels they already know.
You can’t outspend the billboard firms
The largest firms in any city buy the billboards, the TV spots and the top of every search page. Matching them dollar for dollar is not a plan. Being familiar and trusted before the accident happens is.
The moment that matters
After an accident, people search within hours, often from a phone in a waiting room. They are in pain, worried about bills and unsure whether they even have a case. The firm that answers those three worries first, in plain words, gets the call.
The videos to record first
Record the answers to what clients ask on the first call: what to do after a crash, whether to talk to the insurance adjuster, how fees work and how long a case takes. Keep each one under a minute and say it the way you would across your desk.
Facebook and Instagram ads
Search ads reach people who are already looking. Meta ads reach people before they search, and they build recognition. A short video of the attorney explaining one situation, shown to people in your city, makes your name familiar when the accident happens.
Answer faster than anyone
Marketing gets the lead and speed keeps it. Someone who fills out a form expects a call back within minutes. Decide who calls, how fast and what they say before you spend on ads.
Stay inside the rules
Every state bar has advertising rules about claims, testimonials and results. Approve every script yourself before it is recorded, and keep a copy of everything that ran.
